Now I’m not talking here about whether the opposite sex finds fat or slim the most attractive. What I’m talking about is far more important, and that is the effect that our perceptions and thoughts about ourselves have on OUR feelings and behaviours.
After all, the sexiest thing in the world to most people is someone who exudes confidence and pride about themselves and their body, not necessarily physical perfection. It comes from the inside out!
Have you ever noticed how your desire to romp often dampens right alongside the fit of your jeans? For the majority of people, their readiness for a spot of rumpy-pumpy depends very much on the way they feel about their body. If you are insecure and constantly worrying and focussing on the way your body looks or wondering what your partner is thinking about it during sex, it’s a no brainer that you’re not going to be in the mood.
Stoking the Fire
Although not all of my clients discuss their sex lives with me at the start of our work together, by the last couple of sessions, many who are in relationships begin sharing with me their amazement about the changes that have occurred in the bedroom. An increased libido or getting their mojo back might not have been one of their originally identified motivating factors, but many find that it is a very nice, surprising added benefit (and so do their partners)!
How Does this Happen?
In order to truly enjoy pleasure and completely immerse yourself in intimacy, you need to feel comfortable with losing your inhibitions. So, if your focus is on covering up your ‘flawed’ body, not being seen naked, hoping he or she won’t look at or touch you ‘there,’ then it’s obvious that the pleasure of being sexual can be very limited or, in fact, totally diminished.
BUT because of the things that we work on and nurture during a weight loss hypnosis treatment, the following wonderful things start to happen:
- Self-esteem is boosted;
- Confidence is raised;
- A positive self-image is strongly embedded;
- Weight loss occurs, resulting in more energy and easier movement (think positions);
- A regular exercise regime is implemented, leading to increased blood flow to all organs of the body, including the sex organs.
Sexy Effects of Increased Confidence and Self Esteem
As I’ve already inferred, I believe that a woman’s sex drive is strongly linked to body confidence, specifically her perception of the areas of her body that can be easily seen by others (think stomach and thighs). Simply increasing her self-confidence, losing some weight and recognising herself as the unique, amazing being that she is, can have the fantastic knock on effect of her being proud of her body and happy for it to be seen, touched and adored by her partner.
No more going to bed early just to avoid being clocked in any state of undress or insisting on sex with the lights off, hell no, she will be flaunting that naked body and complimenting it in the mirror at every opportunity!
Sexy Effects of Exercise
A good Weight Loss Hypnotherapist will work on building your motivation to exercise and research backs up the fact that women who work out feel better about their bodies and have more energy for sex. Physical activity also releases hormones, such as endorphins and dopamine, which are also believed to boost sex drive.
Best of all, working up a sweat increases sexual sensations almost immediately, so that when you’re in a sexual situation later, blood is sent to the genitals more quickly and intensely making for better arousal and stronger orgasms. A win, win situation!
In a nutshell, the most important sex organ is your mind. It’s all to do with how you think and feel and the brain is at the centre of all these emotions.
Love your body, treat it well and be proud of it, nurture your mind, and enjoyment of your sexuality will usually follow with a bang!
